Coffee Piece created in 1926, by christian fjerdingstad. Throughout the nineteenth century, the craze for travel to faraway places encouraged creators to design luxurious pieces that were still perfectly functional. Directly inspired by the traveler's coffee service of this period, the danish creator christian fjerdingstad designed, for Christofle, an original coffee pot that came from the art deco tradition of the 1920s. A daring marriage of sterling silver and boxwood, this piece cleverly superimposes a sugar bowl, creamer and coffee pot to offer travelers a practical and elegant coffee service.
