Conditions of use : With this décor the appearance of the porcelain or its artistic design are of main concern. The dishwasher safety rules play a deliberately subordinate part here. The use of high quality colours and their subtle application therefore forbid dishwasher cleaning. This décor was tested by the Rosenthal institute for material technology (iwt). This porcelain must be washed only by hand.

Designer : Walter gropius
Walter gropius was an architect and designer. As co-founder of deutscher werkbund and mentor of staatliches bauhaus in weimar, he decisively influenced the creative work of the 20th century. Gropius has been working for Rosenthal since 1963. He created the multi- award-winning tea-set "tac i" as well as the coffee-set "tac ii". Thus, he was the source of inspiration of the porcelain and glass shape "tac o2" of the 21st century. "tac i" served as an example of contemporary design and was incorporated as such into the permanent collection of the centre pompidou in paris. Rosenthal owes the designs for the porcelain factory Rosenthal am rothbühl in selb and for the glass factory in amberg to gropius.
